Fumicello Pendant

The best fumicello pendant I’ve ever made! This is by far the most difficult technique for me to make in glass, but it is so rewarding when it comes out clean like this. The pattern is made by fuming the inside of a scalloped tube with pure gold and pure silver. Once the metal is laid down, the tube is stretched, twisted and then pushed back together to get the crosslink pattern. The backing of this piece is electrum from Molten Aura. The color gives the pendant a metallic “ghost” effect where the pattern only shows up when viewed at certain angles. I love this piece! Comes with a black satin cord for instant wearability.
